Africa

Thou art not dead, although the spoiler’s hand
Lies heavy as death upon thee; though the wrath
Of its accursed might is in thy path
And has usurped they children of their land;
Though yet the scourges of a monstrous band
Roam on your ruined fields, your trampled lanes,
Your ravaged homes and desolated fanes;
Thou art not dead, but sleeping, – Motherland.
A mighty country, valorous and free,
Thou shalt outlive this terror and this pain;
Shall call thy scattered children back to thee,
Strong with the memory of their brother slain;
And rise from out thy charnel house to be
Thine own immortal, brilliant self again!

African Beauty

Posted on Updated on

No word can exagerate such beauty
No where else can it be found
The beauty that surpasses others
The black beauty
If options are given
The black beauty remains the favourite
The beauty of the Nubians
The beauty of the Bushmen
The beauty of the Egyptians
The beauty of the Ashanti
The beauty of the Igbos
I can’t define how beautiful
And well endowed a Yoruba lady is
In her most respected Aso Oke
Kente brings out the beauty of
an Ashanti lady
The skin fresh like that of a young jaguar
Reminds me of an angel
No beauty can stand the African beauty
Her teeth white like snow
Her hairs black like the burnt back of cedar wood
Eyes like that of a young maned lion
Straight legs like a masqurade tree
Her beauty like her attitude
So vibrate
so lovable
Beautiful like the queen of sheba
Speechless your beauty made me
The sun confirms your beauty with a warm smile
The african beauty

We Are The Stars Of Africa

Posted on Updated on

You are the hope of the land
I am the hope of this land
We are the hope of Africa
The joy of our four fathers
The rectifier of the former wrongs
Greatness lies in you
Hero lies in me
We are filled with passion
We are always with visions
We are ready to fulfil our missions
We are going to no other land
Africa is our land
We are the youth of Africa
We are the stars of Africa
Forever we will remain Africans
Forever we will raise the flags of Africa
Forever we will bring joy to Africa
One love Africa!

Africa

Posted on Updated on

A thousand years of darkness in her face,
She turns at last from out the centurys’ blight
Of labored moan and dull oppression’s might,
To slowly mount the rugged path and trace
Her measured step unto her ancient place.
And upward, ever upward towards the light
She strains, seeing afar the day when right
Shall rule the world and justice leaven the race.

Now bare her swarthy arm and firm her sword,
She stands where Universal Freedom bleeds,
And slays in holy wrath to save the word
Of nations and their puny, boasting creeds.
Sear with the truth, O God, each doubting heart,
Of mankind’s need and Afric’s gloried part.
